Hi! I’m Glenn Wachter…

We WON!!! The 99-day campaign is over, and the Clackamas, Milwaukie and Happy Valley communities have spoken at the ballot box! I’m forever grateful for the thousands of votes, and for each student, teacher and parent that supported my campaign!

Students deserves a safe and level playing field within their schools--a place for care and abundant opportunities to learn and grow! Parents will have a collaborative, meaningful voice. Our School District will be accountable to achieve amazing results so our kids can thrive.

I’m looking forward to serving ALL on the North Clackamas School Board!

Why is education so important to me?

Brain development is most rapid in the early years of life, and a child’s ability to learn seems limitless!

The quality of educational experience for each student either sets them up for success, or can dramatically limit their ability to grow and thrive. Ensuring an accepting space, identification of barriers to learning, identifying interest areas are powerful investments in each child’s future.

I believe we, as a community, have a moral obligation to get education right, and ensure each student has the best possible opportunity to thrive!

Advocate, Leader & Father

I was born and raised in NE Portland, am married to my best friend, Hannah, and have raised four talented and amazing children in Clackamas County. My spare time is increasingly devoted to volunteering with community groups, including serving as the Board Chair for Parrott Creek Child & Family Services, City of Happy Valley, and my local HOA.

what MATTERS to me…

01. Each Student Matters

Each student, whether black, brown, or white, LGBTQ+ or straight, deserves to feel safe and welcome at school so they have the best chance to learn.

02. Academic Success

North Clackamas’ students are the focal point to achieve literacy and math proficiency to set up for lifelong success in our community. Our school district will remain accountable to achieve results.

03. Invest in Children & Educators

Early identification of student needs with investment in our educators yields a net positive effect on student success.

04. Involved Parents

Students thrive when their families are engaged at each level of their student’s educational journey.
